You can not use Firefox or anything else cause all the connection is sucked by Transmission. I tried Stefano's solution because I want to keep only gnom apps.

Then I did your test and it didn't slow Opera at all. Maybe that was the proble for me. However I also noticed that transmission never start downloads immediatly, this is not a big problem to me. Seems to work okay for now. I found a solution that worked for me. I'm using XP SP3 with a 3rd party firewall and router with the right ports. I also did the speed issue checklist but that was no good. I noticed my firewall was blocking an active windows driver while utorrent was online. I unblocked it then Voila! My internet and torrent are now working great. I'm not to sure how utorrent is affiliated with this driver or if any.

Also, if I attempt to load a site for the first time it may not work, but after it has successfully loaded once, the site will not have the problem again.
